Covered Porch Addition in Newtown, PA

For this Newtown home we added an elegant covered porch that extends the living space outdoors. A vaulted tongue-and-groove ceiling, stone-wrapped columns, ceiling fans, and recessed lighting create a shaded, comfortable room that ties seamlessly into the home's traditional architecture.

The Challenge

The homeowners had a sunny, exposed patio they could rarely use during midday heat or light rain. They wanted a permanent covered space that felt like a natural extension of the house rather than a bolt-on structure.

Our Solution

We designed a roofline that blends with the existing home, framed a vaulted ceiling finished in warm tongue-and-groove pine, and wrapped the support posts in natural stone. Ceiling fans, recessed lighting, and coordinated trim make it a true outdoor room that's usable from spring through fall.

Have Questions?

Decks & Porches in Newtown, PA.

How much does a covered porch cost in Newtown, PA?

Covered porches in Newtown typically range from about $25,000 to $80,000+ depending on size, roof structure, ceiling finish, stonework, and lighting. We provide a detailed fixed estimate after an on-site visit.

Do you need a permit for a covered porch in Newtown Township?

Yes. A roofed structure requires a building permit and inspections. We prepare the plans and handle permits with Newtown Borough or Newtown Township so the project is fully code-compliant.

Can a covered porch match my existing home?

Absolutely. We design the roofline, columns, and trim to blend with your home's architecture so the porch looks original rather than added on.
